Broadcasting

For this exhibiton Lawrence Leaman presents wall and floor-based works that move between economy furniture and minimalist sculpture. The assembled objects vary in their production methods. DIY techniques are applied to materials more commonly associated with office furniture. Other finishes remember the varnished pine of 1980s civic spaces. As a group their performance is restrained, stopping at the swing of a hinge or empty surface of a shelf.
